Common Damages from a Trojan Horse Virus

There are still careless people who don’t understand how the Trojan horse virus works and they are also not aware of the damages that they can create on someone’s PC. Some may think that their PC is not infected with it so they just pass it all around. For as long as these Trojans don’t affect their PC, they wouldn’t care. But, they are not really sure that these viruses don’t infect their system. Trojan horses don’t pick the system that they want to infect because they can cause damage in all computers in different ways.

 

For those innocent human beings, here are the damages that this troublesome type of virus can cause to your computer:

 

-          If you open your web browser, a pornographic website will suddenly pop-up.

-          Your computer operates slower than the usual.

-         Your computer automatically installs files that you haven’t seen before.

-          Sometimes, your computer will just shut down on its own.

-          Stop and intervene with other battling types of malware.

-         Stop and intervene with your installed firewall, antivirus or any security programs.

-          Your computer will restart on its own if you open a program, application or software that is infected with Trojan horse.

-          Getting emails that you have accessed or added in your list and use them for spamming.

-          Making your modem call numbers that are expensive giving you headache when you see your telephone bill.

-          Trojan horses can display images, play sound and videos without even doing anything.

-          Your CD-Rom or DVD-Rom is opening and closing on its own (Trojan horses does that and not a ghost).

-          You will find a backdoor           installed in your computer without your consent and you know that nobody else has been using your computer.

-          Phishing account details or bank account details are gathered and use it for illegal activities.

-          Trojan horses can get all your personal information such as passwords, phone numbers or credit card numbers. You might be surprises to see the purchases that your card has made that you don’t authorize.

-          They can make screenshots in everything that you do in your computer.

-          Spying on you when you use your computer and privately sharing your browsing history to other people.

-          It can set up networks of zombie computers that carry Trojan horse in order to send spam or begin DDoS attacks.

-          Trojans can extent other viruses.

-          Trojans can remotely access your computer.

-          It can alter records of games, downloading software or movies from sites that you have never visited.

-          A Trojan horse can copy fake links which will bring you to false websites, account based sites or chats that shows local account name which has fraud contents. 

-          Your computer automatically downloads and uploads files.

-          Encrypting files into something that you wouldn’t understand.

-          A program keeps on coming back to your computer even if you have re-installed it through your control panel.

-          Overwriting and deletion of all your important data. You are lucky if you managed to back up your files.

 

These are just some of the reported damages that these things can do. Good thing, there are programs that are developed to remove them.
